There's no place like home for Portage Central, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They came out on top against the Kalamazoo Christian Comets by a score of 2-0 on Saturday. This was a revenge game for the Mustangs: when they faced off against the Comets two weeks ago, they had to take a 2-0 loss.

Portage Central never let Kalamazoo Christian on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-24.

Kate Colosky paced Portage Central's offense, picking up eight kills. Colosky got some help from Catie Jilek and her 15 assists. Kenzie Klimach controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Portage Central's victory bumped their record up to 19-20. As for Kalamazoo Christian, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 22-13-3.

Portage Central has already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Bronson on the 18th. As for Kalamazoo Christian, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Mattawan on the 18th.
