Southwest DeKalb's game on Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They walked away with a 6-3 win over the North Springs Spartans. The Panthers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Spartans, too.

Southwest DeKalb let Chrissee Taylor and Madelyn Flournoy run wild. Taylor went 1-for-2 with two runs and one triple, while Flournoy went 1-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. Another player making a difference was Nyla Denbow, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

Southwest DeKalb's victory bumped their record up to 9-3. As for North Springs, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-9.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Southwest DeKalb will welcome Alcovy at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for North Springs, they will take on Dunwoody at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The Wildcats will roll in looking for their ninth straight win, something the Spartans surely won't give up without a fight.
