Central Catholic extends road losing streak to three

Recap: Central Catholic Raiders vs. Manteca Buffaloes

The Central Catholic Raiders's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their sixth straight loss. They fell 42-33 to Manteca. While losing is never fun, Central Catholic can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 760th, while Manteca is ranked 148th).

Manteca's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Izabella Sanchez, who scored 11 points along with eight rebounds and four steals. Jada Ikharo was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with nine rebounds and three steals.

Central Catholic's defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 8-13. As for Manteca, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 19-4 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Central Catholic will square off against Kimball at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Manteca, they will head out on the road to challenge East Union at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as East Union comes in on 15 and Manteca on three.
