Baseball Game Preview: Perry Pumas vs. Chandler Wolves

For the second straight game, Perry will face off against Chandler. The Pumas will host the Wolves at 3:45 p.m. on Friday. The squads are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Perry has struggled recently with four losses in a row, while Chandler will arrive with four straight wins.

On Thursday, Perry didn't have quite enough to beat Chandler and fell 3-2. That's two games in a row now that the Pumas have lost by just one run.

For Chandler's part, Dylan Lopez spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned runs on nine hits and racked up six Ks. Lopez has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Devan Wilson, who went 1-for-2 with one home run.

Chandler's victory bumped their record up to 18-8. As for Perry, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-18-1.
