Softball Recap: Mundy's Mill Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Mundy's Mill can bid farewell to their five-game losing streak thanks to their game on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by a 12-5 margin over the Carver Panthers. The Tigers not only won on Wednesday, but they posted their biggest win since September 2nd (when they won 20-3).

Dyanna Griffin and Shamiyah Jackson did most of the damage at the plate: Griffin went 3-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base, while Jackson got on base in all three of her plate appearances with five stolen bases and two runs. Those three hits gave Griffin a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Kourtney Mahatoo, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Mundy's Mill's victory bumped their record up to 6-10. As for Carver, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record this season.

Mundy's Mill will face off against Mt. Zion at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Carver, they will take on KIPP Atlanta Collegiate at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
