Baseball Game Preview: Temple Tigers vs. Model Blue Devils

Temple hasn't had much luck against Model recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Tigers will look to defend their home field against the Blue Devils at 5:30 p.m. Temple has given up an average of 10.6 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Temple lost 17-2 to Heard County on Thursday.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Model). They blew past Murray County 13-5 on Saturday. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Blue Devils as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Temple's loss dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Model, their victory bumped their record up to 5-7.

Temple couldn't quite get it done against Model when the teams last played back in March of 2025 as they fell 5-1. Can the Tigers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
