Softball Recap: Lafayette County's Win Ends Four-Game Losing Streak at Home

Lafayette County won the last time they faced Knob Noster and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Huskers blew past the Panthers 18-3.

Chloe Weddle and Kyamila Huseynov did most of the damage at the plate: Weddle went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, one triple, and one RBI, while Huseynov went a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. Those three hits gave Weddle a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Paige Miller, who got on base in two of her three plate appearances with three runs.

Lafayette County's victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 10-11. As for Knob Noster, they dropped their record down to 0-11 with the loss, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Coming up, Lafayette County will head out to square off against Lexington at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Knob Noster does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
