While it was all tied up 20-20 at halftime, the Eisenhower Eagles were not quite the Carter Lions's equal in the second half on Thursday. Eisenhower fell 50-40 to the Lions. Eisenhower was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Lions apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January.

Despite the loss, Eisenhower saw an underclassman step up: Leyla Payan scored 14 points. Camiya Horton was another key contributor, scoring ten points.

Eisenhower has not been sharp recently as the team's lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-10 record this season. As for Carter, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 15-11 record this season.

Eisenhower does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Carter also has no future games currently scheduled.
