Softball Recap: Anamosa Comes Up Short

Anamosa was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They took a 9-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hempstead Mustangs. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Mustangs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 12-1 on Tuesday.

Anamosa's defeat dropped their record down to 10-22. As for Hempstead, they have been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine games. That's provided a massive bump to their 9-10 record this season.

Anamosa will be playing in front of their home fans against Solon on Thursday. Hempstead does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
