Soccer Game Preview: San Diego vs. Scripps Ranch

The San Diego Cavers will challenge the Scripps Ranch Falcons at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

San Diego's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They had just enough and edged University City out 1-0. The score was all tied up 0-0 at the break, but the Cavers were the better team in the second half.

Meanwhile, Scripps Ranch hasn't lost a match since December 11, 2024, a trend which continued in their latest game on Friday. They and Mission Bay finished up on equal footing with a 0-0 draw.

San Diego has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 4-4-1 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 11 goals over those four games. Scripps Ranch's draw makes their record 5-2-4 this season.
