Basketball Recap: Murrell Dobbins Vo-Tech Takes a Loss

On Tuesday, Murrell Dobbins Vo-Tech had to suffer through an 88-21 loss at the hands of Audenried. While losing is never fun, Murrell Dobbins Vo-Tech can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 484th, while Audenried is ranked 20th).

It was another big night for Shayla Smith, who dropped a double-double with 32 points and 11 rebounds for Audenried. That makes it three consecutive games in which Smith has scored at least a third of Audenried's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Reynah Rattliff, who went 6-for-11 en route to 17 points and five boards.

Murrell Dobbins Vo-Tech's defeat dropped their record down to 9-14. As for Audenried, their record now sits at 16-7.

Murrell Dobbins Vo-Tech does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Audenried, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, an 82-23 win against Carver High School of Engineering & Science on the 13th.
