Soccer Recap: Willowbrook Comes Up Short

Willowbrook saw some tournament action on Monday. They lost 5-1 to the Zion-Benton Zee-Bees. While losing is never fun, Willowbrook can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois soccer rankings (they are ranked 313th, while Zion-Benton are ranked 17th).

This is the second loss in a row for Willowbrook and nudges their season record down to 2-6. As for Zion-Benton, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Willowbrook will venture away from home to square off against St. Charles East at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Zion-Benton, they will head out to face off against Lake Forest at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
