There's no place like home for McLoud, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They came out on top against the Ada Cougars on Monday by a score of 2-1 (the very same score they lost by in their prior game). This was payback for the Redskins, who suffered a 9-7 loss the last time these two teams met.

Elexias Patterson looked comfortable as she tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up a single earned run in five consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, McLoud's victory was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Makenzie Lane, who went 1-for-2 with one run.

McLoud has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 24-8-1 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Ada, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-18-2 record this season.

As of now, neither McLoud nor Ada have any future games scheduled.
