Grundy Center barely beat East Marshall the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Spartans were the clear victors by a 10-1 margin over the Mustangs on Monday. The result was nothing new for the Spartans, who have now won ten contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Grundy Center is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. As for East Marshall, their defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-5.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Mustangs beat Grundy Center by a score of 2-0 later that day.
