Volleyball Recap: Nebraska City Pioneers vs. Duchesne Cardinals
Nebraska City was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 18th straight defeat. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Duchesne Cardinals. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Pioneers of the 2-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2023.
The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-17.
Duchesne can attribute much of their success to Maria Buechler, who had 13 digs.
Nebraska City's defeat dropped their record down to 2-22. As for Duchesne, the victory snapped their losing streak at five games and leaves them with a 10-14 record.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Nebraska City is on the road again on Thursday to play Beatrice. As for Duchesne, they will face off against Elkhorn at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
