Football Recap: West Franklin Comes Up Short

Friday just wasn't the day for West Franklin's offense. They had to suffer through a 44-0 loss at the hands of the Eureka Tornadoes. The Falcons were not able to make up for their loss to the Tornadoes from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

Peyton Hare produced another solid effort rushing for 216 yards and three scores while picking up 13.5 yards per carry, and also throwing for 56 yards and one TD on only five passes for Eureka. Those 216 rushing yards gave Hare a new career-high. Justin Andrews was another key player, rushing for 80 yards and one touchdown.

West Franklin's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Eureka, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-1.

Looking ahead, West Franklin will challenge Humboldt at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Eureka, they will square off against Central Heights at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Tornadoes will be up against the Vikings' rather soft defense (which has allowed 31.5 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
