Football Recap: McLouth Comes Up Short

McLouth was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat dating back to last season. They were beaten by the Riverside [Wathena/Elwood] Cyclones 35-8. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bulldogs of the 35-14 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

McLouth's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Riverside [Wathena/Elwood], they now have a winning record of 2-1.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. McLouth will challenge rival Jackson Heights at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Riverside [Wathena/Elwood] is set to square off against their familiar foe Maur Hill Prep-Mount Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
