Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Bishop O'Dowd). They walked away with a 54-42 victory over the Castro Valley Trojans on Friday. The Dragons haven't had any issues with the Trojans recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive win against them.

Lamar Ellis went supernova, rushing for 286 yards and five scores while picking up 14.3 yards per carry.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Bishop O'Dowd was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 296 rushing yards. They are 2-1 when they've run for more than 200 yards.

Bishop O'Dowd didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Zay Latu and Ian Garrick.

The victory got Bishop O'Dowd back to even at 3-3. As for Castro Valley, they are on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.

Bishop O'Dowd wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 55-12 win against Berkeley on the 10th. As for Castro Valley, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 28-22 defeat against Moreau Catholic on the 9th.
