Soccer Recap: Napa Comes Up Short

After flying high against American Canyon last Friday, Napa came back down to earth. The Napa Grizzlies lost 17-0 to the Vintage Crushers on Wednesday. While losing is never fun, the Grizzlies can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 926th, while the Crushers are ranked 111th).

Napa has traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last nine matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-9 record this season. As for Vintage, they pushed their record up to 6-0-4 with the win, which was their third straight at home.

Napa has already played their next game (against Sonoma Valley), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Vintage wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next contest, a 17-0 victory against American Canyon on the 17th.
