Softball Recap: Nashua-Plainfield Comes Up Short

Nashua-Plainfield was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They lost 12-3 to the Janesville Wildcats. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Huskies of the 9-3 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in June of 2024.

Nashua-Plainfield's defeat dropped their record down to 1-12. As for Janesville, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season.

Nashua-Plainfield didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 10-0 loss against Newman Catholic on the 20th. As for Janesville, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, a 6-4 victory against Riceville on the 20th.
