Volleyball Recap: Georgetown Takes a Loss

Georgetown was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Peabody Veterans Memorial Tanners.

Leading Peabody Veterans Memorial to victory were Sydney Lynch and Mackenzie Landry. Lynch had 26 digs and two aces, while Landry had 16 assists and three aces. That's the most aces Landry has posted over her last five contests.

Georgetown's defeat dropped their record down to 3-13. As for Peabody Veterans Memorial, they pushed their record up to 10-7 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.

Georgetown has already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against Triton Regional on the 20th. As for Peabody Veterans Memorial, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-1 victory against North Andover on the 20th.
