Soccer Game Preview: Victor Valley vs. Adelanto

Victor Valley is 1-8-1 against Adelanto since December of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Victor Valley Jackrabbits will be playing at home against the Adelanto Saints at 4:30 p.m.

Victor Valley is headed into Friday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Wednesday. They lost 6-0 to Granite Hills. While losing is never fun, the Jackrabbits can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 652nd, while the Cougars are ranked 288th).

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Adelanto). They never let Silverado onto the board and left with a 12-0 victory on Wednesday. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Saints considering their one-goal performance the match before.

Adelanto has also been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten games, which somehow still isn't as good as their 11-2-1 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 29 goals over those ten contests. As for Victor Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 6-6-1.

Victor Valley came up short against Adelanto when the teams last played back in January of 2024, falling 3-1. Can Victor Valley avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
