Volleyball Recap: Rincon/University Rangers vs. Sahuarita Mustangs
Rincon/University was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They came up short against the Sahuarita Mustangs, falling 3-0. The Rangers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Mustangs apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2022.
The final score came out to 25-21, 25-15, 25-17.
Sahuarita can attribute much of their success to Cyra Sample, who had ten digs.
Rincon/University's defeat dropped their record down to 4-15. As for Sahuarita, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 19-4 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Rincon/University will challenge Marana at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Sahuarita, they will square off against Amphitheater at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Sahuarita is looking to tack on another W to their five-game streak on the road.
