In other batting news, Aidin Mathews and Jay Hernandez stepped up to the plate in a big way. Mathews scored two runs and stole Four bases. while getting on base in all five of his plate appearances, while Hernandez scored three runs and stole Five bases. while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances. The dominant performance gave Hernandez a new career-high in stolen bases. Cason Carrigan also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Woodland's record is now 3-8. As for Eagle's Landing Christian Academy, they dropped their record down to 1-8 with the defeat, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season.
