Softball Recap: Dale Takes Down Mangum in a Playoff Battle

Dale extended their postseason success on Friday against Mangum. They blew past the Tigers 7-1. Considering the Pirates have won 11 contests by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

The victory made it two in a row for Dale and bumps their season record up to 18-2. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.0 runs over those games. As for Mangum, their defeat dropped their record down to 25-9.

Coming up, Dale will head out on the road to challenge Ripley at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Pirates 1, the Warriors 2.7) so any runs scored will be well earned. Mangum does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
