Basketball Recap: Monte Vista Christian Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Fans were treated to a battle of the Mustangs on Saturday. Monte Vista Christian took a blow against King City, falling 79-37. The defeat leaves Monte Vista Christian still looking for their first win of the season.

Monte Vista Christian's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Hope Fromm, who posted 14 points. Emily Madison was another key player, putting up ten points.

Mikaya McLane was the offensive standout of the contest as she put up eight points along with 11 boards and five steals. She is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down eight or more in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Katia Slama, who scored eight points and five boards.

Monte Vista Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for King City, the win got them back to even at 2-2.

Coming up, Monte Vista Christian will be playing at home against Soquel at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for King City, they will hit the road for the first time this season to take on Carmel at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
