Soccer Game Preview: Poly vs. King

The Poly Bears will take on the King Wolves in a tournament on Saturday. Poly is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak.

Friday just wasn't the day for Poly's offense. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Vista Murrieta on Friday.

Meanwhile, Rancho Verde kept up with King until halftime on Friday, but afterwards: not so much. Wolves' defense stepped up to hand the Mustangs a 3-0 shutout.

Lucy Allen and Gianinna Barillas scored all three of King's goals, bringing their combined season tally to eight goals.

King's win bumped their record up to 7-2-3. As for Poly, their loss dropped their record down to 9-3.

Poly skirted past King 1-0 in their previous matchup two weeks ago. Will the Bears repeat their success, or do Wolves have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
