It may have taken nine innings to finish the job, but Ridgeland ultimately got the result they hoped for on Saturday. They skirted past the Dade County Wolverines 4-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Panthers have posted against the Wolverines since August 6, 2022.

The team relied heavily on Kailynn Bailey, who went 2-for-5 with one home run, three RBI, and one double. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in August of 2024. Alaina Shaver was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one home run.

The victory got Ridgeland back to even at 1-1. As for Dade County, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 1-1.

Looking ahead, Ridgeland will take on Gilmer at 6:00 p.m. on the 11th. As for Dade County, they will square off against LaFayette at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
