St. Bernard faced Middletown in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Crusaders never let the Mustangs get on the board and left with a 5-0 win. Considering St. Bernard's have won four games by more than two goals this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

The victory (which was St. Bernard's third in a row) raised their record to 5-1-1. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those three contests. As for Middletown, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 1-5-1 record this season.

St. Bernard's will look to defend their home pitch on Tuesday against Ferndale at 4:00 p.m. As for Middletown, they will face off against Fort Bragg at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
