Soccer Recap: Venice Comes Up Short

Venice and Granada Hills Charter squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Venice had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Highlanders by a score of 1-0. That makes it the first time this season Venice have let down their home crowd.

Venice's loss dropped their record down to 17-2-3. As for Granada Hills Charter, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 11-5-2.

Venice does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Granada Hills Charter, they will take on New West Charter at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday. New West Charter's defense has only allowed 0.3 goals per game this season, so Granada Hills Charter's offense will have their work cut out for them.
