Northville strolled into their game on Friday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They walked away with a 17-7 victory over the Howell Highlanders. For the Mustangs, this counts as revenge for the 27-12 win the Highlanders walked away with the last time they faced one another back in September of 2024.

Northville's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Max DeFore, who rushed for 85 yards and one TD. The team also got some help courtesy of Kamden Brown, who picked up 105 receiving yards and one touchdown.

Northville's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Howell, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

Northville didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 37-23 victory against Salem on the 19th. As for Howell, they have also already played their next matchup, a 49-14 win against Plymouth on the 19th.
