Football Game Preview: South Central Timberwolves vs. Udall Eagles

South Central has gone a perfect 3-0 against Udall recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Timberwolves will be playing at home against the Eagles at 7:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (South Central has five straight victories, Udall has five straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

South Central is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They blew past Macksville 60-6 on Friday. The Timberwolves' offense checked out after the first half but had enough points banked to take the game anyway.

Easton Huck was his usual excellent self, rushing for 151 yards and three touchdowns on only nine carries, while also throwing for 26 yards and a pair of TDs. Those three rushing touchdowns gave him a new career-high.

Another reason for the win was South Central's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for three sacks. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Huck, Jack Herd, and Jack Willems, who each picked up one sack apiece. South Central got some further help from Herd: he picked up a sack and made nine total tackles (3.0 for loss) in addition to snagging an interception which he returned one-yard for a touchdown.

Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for Udall's offense. They were beaten by Kiowa County 64-0 on Friday.

South Central's win bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Udall, their loss dropped their record down to 0-5.

Everything came up roses for South Central against Udall when the teams last played back in October of 2024, as the squad secured an 88-0 victory. Will the Timberwolves repeat their success, or do the Eagles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
