Morrow waltzed into their match on Thursday with eight straight wins... but they left with nine. Their defense stepped up to hand the McDonough Warhawks a 2-0 shutout. Given Morrow's advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia soccer rankings (they are ranked 86th, while McDonough are ranked 222nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Brandon Reyes and Emiliano Garcia scored both of Morrow's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 20 goals.

Morrow pushed their record up to 9-1 with the win, which was their sixth straight on the road. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 35 goals over those six games. As for McDonough, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-4.

Coming up, Morrow will face off against Northgate at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for McDonough, they wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next contest, a 5-0 win against Hampton on the 21st.
