Basketball Recap: Salinas Find Success

Salinas proved they can win big on Thursday (they won by 50) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Los Altos Eagles 38-35.

Alice Uchida went supernova for Salinas, putting up 23 points. The dominant performance gave Uchida a new career-high in points. Jennifer Rivera was another key player, posting six points.

Salinas has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a massive bump to their 6-6 record this season. As for Los Altos, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-9.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Salinas will host Everett Alvarez at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Los Altos, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Homestead at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday.
