Soccer Recap: Athenian Takes a Loss

After soaring to four goals the game before, Athenian was a bit more limited in their contest on Tuesday. They fell 3-1 to the College Prep Cougars. The matchup was a 1-1 toss-up at halftime, but Athenian couldn't quite close it out.

Athenian's defeat dropped their record down to 11-2. As for College Prep, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-1-1.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Athenian will challenge rival Bentley at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, College Prep is set to face off against their familiar foe St. Joseph Notre Dame at 4:00 p.m. on the 17th.
