Buchholz put another one in the bag on Wednesday to keep their perfect season alive. They put the hurt on the Bishop Kenny Crusaders with a sharp 10-1 victory. The result was nothing new for the Bobcats, who have now won six matchups by seven runs or more so far this season.

Dion Wilborn looked comfortable as he pitched 3.1 innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Cedaris Smith was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, eight RBI, and two runs. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in hits. Another player making a difference was Kai So, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three doubles.

Buchholz was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .387. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .387 or higher in three consecutive contests.

Buchholz pushed their record up to 11-0 with the win, which was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for Bishop Kenny, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-10.

Coming up, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Buchholz Bobcats challenge Columbia Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Buchholz's pitching crew has only allowed 2.6 runs per game this season, so Columbia's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Bishop Kenny, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 9-8 loss against Mandarin on the 13th.
