Basketball Game Preview: San Clemente Tritons vs. Aliso Niguel Wolverines

The San Clemente Tritons will face off against the Aliso Niguel Wolverines at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. San Clemente is coming into the match hot, having won their last six games.

On Saturday, San Clemente strolled past Redondo Union with points to spare, taking the game 50-36.

Aliso Niguel got their first taste of in-conference action this week and they started things off strong. They took down Trabuco Hills 43-25 on Thursday.

San Clemente's win was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 17-5. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.0 points per game. As for Aliso Niguel, their victory bumped their record up to 12-9.

Everything came up roses for San Clemente against Aliso Niguel when the teams last played back in January of 2024, as the squad secured a 78-34 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for San Clemente since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
