Baseball Recap: Tattnall Square Academy Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Victory

Tattnall Square Academy waltzed into their matchup on Thursday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They walked away with a 6-2 win over the Strong Rock Christian Patriots. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent victory being a 8-7 win last Saturday.

Tucker Brown and Wyatt Still made a splash no matter where they played. On the mound, Brown struck out six batters over five innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits (and only one walk). Meanwhile, Still pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, Brown gave up only one walk, the fewest he's had since back in February. At the plate, Brown went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI, while Still went 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one double. That stolen base was Brown's first of the season.

In other batting news, Tristan Turner was excellent, scoring two runs while going 1-for-3. What's more, he posted three RBI, the most he's had since back in March of 2024. Griffey Gorman also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Tattnall Square Academy was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .414. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

The victory was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 9-2. As for Strong Rock Christian, they now have a losing record of 4-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Tattnall Square Academy will take on Gatewood at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Strong Rock Christian, they will venture away from home to challenge Rock Springs Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
