Recap: Albany vs. Saint Mary's
The Albany Cougars fell victim to the Saint Mary's Panthers's stalwart defense on Thursday and couldn't make it onto the board. They fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 1-0. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Albany in their matchups with Saint Mary's: they've now lost four in a row.
Albany's defeat dropped their record down to 12-5. As for Saint Mary's, they pushed their record up to 14-1-1 with that victory, which was their seventh straight at home.
Albany will head out on the road to face off against Piedmont at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Piedmont will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something Albany surely won't give up without a fight. As for Saint Mary's, they will be playing in front of their home fans against College Prep at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Saint Mary's defense has only allowed 0.4 goals per game this season, so College Prep's offense will have their work cut out for them.
