Softball Recap: Dunwoody's Victory on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Six

Dunwoody entered their tilt with Shiloh on Tuesday with five consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with six. They were the clear victors by a 17-4 margin over the Generals. While the Wildcats didn't have the best season last year (they finished 10-15), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Anslie Worley made a splash no matter where she played. She pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off six hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in six consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with two runs.

In other batting news, Dunwoody got a massive performance out of Lauren Dowhower, who went 3-for-5 with five RBI, two runs, and two doubles. Those five RBI gave Dowhower a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Allie Sleep, who went 3-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and one stolen base.

Dunwoody hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They are a perfect 7-0 when they post two or more strikeouts.

Dunwoody's record is now 9-3. As for Shiloh, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-8.

Dunwoody wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 13-4 win against Lovett on the 10th. As for Shiloh, they have also already played their next game, a 9-1 loss against Decatur on the 11th.
