Marian took a three-set defeat the last time they faced off against Elkhorn South, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Crusaders sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 win over the Storm on Saturday. The victory was familiar territory for the Crusaders, who have now won seven contests in a row.

Their offense was headlined by Erin Cramer and Fallyn O'Connell, who picked up 12 kills apiece. They got some help from Addy Janke and her 23 assists. Campbell Capece controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

Marian's win bumped their record up to 21-6. As for Elkhorn South, their loss dropped their record down to 14-8.

Marian wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Waverly on the 4th. As for Elkhorn South, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Lincoln North Star on the 4th.
