Baseball Recap: Pepperell Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Victory

Pepperell had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5 runs) and they went ahead and made it four on Tuesday. They were the clear victor by a 10-1 margin over the Cedartown Bulldogs. The Dragons might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four games by six runs or more this season.

Sam Ross was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. What's more, he gave up only two walks, the fewest he's had since back in March of 2024. He was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. He is also on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now stole at least one in each of the last five games he's played.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Madoc Garcia, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in hits (three). JP Kilgo was another key player, scoring a run while going 1-for-3.

Pepperell's record is now 5-2. As for Cedartown, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-4.

Pepperell will have a chance to go back-to-back against Cedartown: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:15 p.m. on Thursday.
