Basketball Recap: San Ysidro Takes a Loss

San Ysidro was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They came up short against the Southwest SD Raiders, falling 40-15. The Cougars were down 29-7 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

Despite the loss, San Ysidro still got an impressive performance from Erryn Steward, who posted six points.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Southwest SD to victory, but perhaps none more so than Pilar Carrera, who put up 12 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jazlyn Martinez, who earned ten points.

San Ysidro's defeat dropped their record down to 4-21. As for Southwest SD, they pushed their record up to 16-9 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home.

As of now, neither San Ysidro nor Southwest SD have any future games scheduled.
