Omaha Central had to kick off their season on the road on Thursday, but they showed no ill effects. They put the hurt on the Omaha South Packers with a sharp 13-4 win. For the Eagles, this counts as revenge for the 9-8 victory the Packers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in August of 2024.

Edie Titus made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she pitched 1.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Titus was also big at the plate, going 2-for-5 with three runs, one double, and one RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Katelyn McClure, who got on base in all five of her plate appearances with two runs, one double, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Nichole Palfini, who went 2-for-5 with three RBI, one triple, and one run.

Omaha Central didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 10-2 win against Lincoln High on the 22nd. Hopefully Omaha South paid attention to the Eagles' game: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on the Eagles at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
