Baseball Recap: Bowen Comes Up Short

Bowen had lost five straight at home, but on Tuesday they dropped down to 2-5 to make it six. They lost 12-6 to the Gage Park Owls. If the Boilermakers were looking for revenge after losing 15-14 to the Owls when the teams met back in April of 2025, then they'll just have to keep looking.

As for Gage Park, their victory bumped their record up to 5-2. Their hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

For Gage Park's part, the team relied heavily on Ignacio Lopez, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI. Those three runs gave Lopez a new career-high. Zackerie Kidd was another key player, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with three runs and one RBI.

While Bowen had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
