Volleyball Recap: Buckeye Takes a Loss + How To Watch

If Buckeye was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Paradise Valley last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Hawks fell just short of the Desert Edge Scorpions by a score of 3-2 on Monday. While the Hawks didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Scorpions 25-13 in the first set.

Buckeye actually scored more points across those five sets (109-101), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The final score came out to 13-25, 20-25, 28-26, 25-20, 15-13.

Kaitlyn Palermino had an outrageously good game for Desert Edge as she had 40 digs and three aces. Those 40 digs gave Palermino a new career-high.

Buckeye's defeat dropped their record down to 12-8. As for Desert Edge, they now have a winning record of 12-11.

Buckeye wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Youngker on the 22nd. As for Desert Edge, they have also already played their next matchup, a 3-1 victory against Paradise Valley on the 22nd.
