Volleyball Recap: Make It Four in a Row for Flagler + How To Watch

Flagler hadn't done well against Weldon Valley recently (they were 0-4 in their previous four matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Panthers were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Warriors. This was payback for the Panthers, who suffered a 3-1 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Flagler's got stronger as the match went on, holding Weldon Valley to fewer and fewer points set over set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 30-28, 25-19, 25-13.

Flagler's offense was headlined by Rylie Berry and Sydnie Berry, who picked up 16 kills apiece. They got some help from Kenzie Schulte and her 20 assists. Sydnie also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Jenna Schier, each putting up two.

Despite the loss, Weldon Valley still got an impressive performance from Isabella Petrino, who had 34 digs and one assist. Petrino is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 22 or more in each of the last four games she's played.

The victory was the fourth in a row for Flagler, bringing their record up to 14-7. As for Weldon Valley, their loss was their eighth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 6-15.

Flagler wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-1 defeat against Burlington on the 28th. As for Weldon Valley, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against Prairie on the 28th.
