Baseball Game Preview: Atkinson County Rebels vs. Echols County Wildcats

For the second straight game, Atkinson County will face off against Echols County. The Rebels will head out on the road to square off against the Wildcats at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Atkinson County has seven straight victories, Echols County has four straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Last Tuesday, Atkinson County earned a 5-1 win over Echols County.

Atkinson County saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Bryce Clement, who scored two runs while going 1-for-3. Clement is becoming a predictor of the Rebels' success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 9-14 when he doesn't).

The victory got Atkinson County back to even at 14-14. As for Echols County, their loss dropped their record down to 5-19.
