Sunnyside had won seven straight games and Ruby Cartwright did her part to make it eight on Tuesday. The Sunnyside Wildcats blew past the Madera South Stallions 49-24 thanks in part to Cartwright, who dropped a double-double with 18 points and 12 rebounds. She has been hot for a while, having also posted two or more steals the last 24 times she's played.

Tamia Monia was another key player, going 5 for 10 on her way to 11 points. She continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played.

When it comes to explaining why Madera South lost, don't look at CRYSTALINA BUITRON. Despite the final result, she posted seven points.

Sunnyside now has a winning record of 13-12. As for Madera South, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matchups, which has put a noticeable dent in their 13-13 record this season.
