Soccer Recap: Big Valley Christian Comes Up Short

After flying high against Riverbank last Thursday, Big Valley Christian came back down to earth. The Big Valley Christian Lions took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Summerville Bears on Tuesday. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Lions this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 on January 9th.

Their goal came courtesy of Karlie Powell, who's now up to 12 this season.

Big Valley Christian's loss dropped their record down to 9-4-1. As for Summerville, the victory (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 9-6-2.

Big Valley Christian didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next game, a 0-0 draw against Linden on the 29th. As for Summerville, they will look to defend their home pitch on Thursday against Calaveras at 5:30 p.m.
